Venice Florida the "City by the Gulf" is located
directly on the Gulf of Mexico.
Venice Island has a beautiful shopping district. Early 1900's
built, Italian renaissance styled homes within walking distance to gulf
beaches. The city boasts a dog park on the beach located just south of the
fishing pier. Venice Florida has numerous golf course communities As with many coastal communities you'll find a number of
waterfront restaurants with Sharkys by the Venice fishing pier being
located directly on the gulf of Mexico. Just to the north of Venice
you'll find communities known as Nokomis and
Osprey. Both areas have Gulf access
waterfront property and quick access to the Gulf beaches. A number of excellent
golf courses including a municipal course located on the island called Lakes of
Venice. Off island but still near the beach you'll find a number of Golf
Country Club communities. This area has something for everyone.

South Venice is located outside the city of Venice in
Sarasota county. This established community has affordable homes. Features of
this community are a community park with a
boat launch and a ferry service to a private beach and some Gulf access
waterfront property. There is also a county park; Shamrock Park which is
located along the Intra-Coastal waterway. A bike and walk path provide
recreational access to Venice Island and it's gulf beaches. Located just south of the Island of Venice Florida and
along the IntraCoastal,
South Venice Florida is a great value for those wishing to live
close to gulf beaches. A surprisingly feature rich neighborhood considering the
modest prices of area homes. Beach, boating, nature trails, mature landscaping,
waterfront homes, and close to shopping and dining.

Punta Gorda like Venice is a charming south Florida small town.
Olde Florida or Key West style dominates the downtown area. The homes of
downtown Punta Gorda are near riverfront parks. The residential real estate in
the area is predominantly the waterfront houses located in PGI (Punta
Gorda Isles) and BSI (Burnt Store Isles). A feature of these 2
communities is that the concrete seawalls are maintained by the city of Punta
Gorda. While there is a nominal annual fee included in the tax bill, the
consistent waterfront appearance of well maintained seawalls gives these
waterfront communities a feel of exclusivity. Punta Gorda Isles and Burnt Store
Isles are both deed restricted so the communities have a well kept appearance. If you love boating, and

Port Charlotte is much of un-incorporated Charlotte
County. There is a broad spectrum of residential housing options, and
neighborhoods to choose from. Port Charlotte as plenty of waterfront
property, much of it will provide boating access to Charlotte Harbor and the
Gulf of Mexico. Port Charlotte has affordable waterfront homes and
Condos. On the north end of Charlotte Harbor you can find sailboat access
homes in the old sailboat section
south of Edgewater drive. In the same area you'll find Grassy Point is an exclusive gated community where
each building site has deeded docks with sailboat access to
Charlotte Harbor. If you've wanted a home where you had your boat
in the water in the backyard then Port Charlotte would be an excellent place to retire.
